Ferruginous
Hawk Nesting Platforms
Project #2007-01
Started: April 15, 2007

Call for Volunteers:
Starting on Friday evening on July 20TH though July 22 CHC is going to have a combination camp out and FNP raising at that Pawnee camp grounds. The camp out will be with Eagle Scouts that are building the artificial nest for the FNP.
We will be setting up 15 platforms between Saturday and Sunday with the Eagle Scouts and with the USFS. The poles are being provided by Xcel Energy, the reaming materials are being provided by USFS, and the Scouts are building the nest. All we need is to have members show up and help put the FNP together and help set up them up in different location throughout the Pawnee. The more members we have that show up the faster we can get the job done and the more time we will have to relax around the campfire and talk to the Scouts.
We would like the members to bring sunblock, a wide brim hat, water, leather gloves, sun glasses, and a hard hat if possible. This is not counting the camping gear and food that they need to bring. Lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday by CHC.
Location: I-25 to exit 269A the Ault, HWY 14 exit. Go East to Ault, from Ault, go 22 miles east on Highway 14, turn north on Weld County Road 77, travel 1/4 mile to campground entrance on the west side of the road.
Status: In Progress
